About Us

Kannon Beach Wind and Surf is the most extensive surf shop in Canada. We have just about everything you will ever need for surfing and windsurfing. We have the most extensive selection of surfboards, wetsuits, boots, gloves, wax, leashes, track pads. Do we need to go on? Not only do we have all your extreme sports needs, we also have expert staff members who are fully knowledgeable about everything we sell. 

In the past, the shop was located in many different locations, but we have come to call the Lawrencetown MacDonald house are home as of now. The house overlooks three of Nova Scotia's most popular surf spots (Lawrencetown Beach) and one of the more popular windsurf and kite spots (Stoney Beach).

There is a ton of history surrounding this building, and we feel that we are simply adding to the atmosphere of this already historic landmark. So make sure to take a walk up the hill and check out the scenery before you come into the shop.

If you do not have time to get out to the shop, we will take you on a quick tour here. First off we have a look at the house from the front and the side. Now let's take a look inside to see what we've got..

Here is a shot of the wax on top of the display case, our video rack, and you are able to see some of the many longboards that we have on the roof as well as the Oakley case and the windsurf boards in the back. Let's walk a little further to see what we can find.

So here we have our longest board rack, with up to 65 boards or more at times. We have a very wide selection of boards that we are currently carrying, including: Watercooled, NSP, Southpoint, JS and a ton of used boards.

WOWUWEEWOW, take a look above your head at all the leashes and tail pads that we've got! We've got any size or type of leash that you could ever possibly want! From 5 ft comp leashes right up to 10' calf leashes and everything in between, let us know what you need, I'm sure we've got it....

Now, if you turn to your right, you can have a look at our JS rack! We are currently running fairly low on stock in the JS boards. As of now, we have plenty of stock in the Fat Fish 2 model, and the 300KW, our Flyboy and Combat models are low, there is only one board left for each model. However, we do have another order in progress, that should be arriving mid to end of August, just in time for Hurricane season. In this next order, we have a bunch of Flyboy and Combat models on the way, as well as some retro fish, which will be amazing to get into the shop again. We had a very special guest into the shop in the month of July, and he even came out for a surf with us, some of you may know him as Xavier Rudd; the popular folk rock artist straight from Bells Beach, Australia. If you are lucky, you may even catch Matt Mays in our shop, he tends to stop in from time to time.
